    @Alter Schlachthof
    Live: KEKE / EBOW
    Dj-Set: BAD&BOUJEE

Keke is so new that it’s quite a rarity to have seen her live up to now. Influenced by FKA Twigs, Kelela and Princess Nokia the early 20-ish Keke is already living on her own island and she brings a distinctive style, powerful contents, and the sheer force of her voice to the table. The extraordinary talent of this jazz-educated singer is supported by the newly formed Viennese Label MOM I MADE IT.

“Komplexität“ is the name of the new record of the Viennese-at-heart rapper Ebow. Complexity, because the album describes the status quo of our present and Ebow wants to mold this into words. But also complexity because the record wants to trace an arc from socially critical rap over intimate reflections all the way to club bangers. Framed by this, Ebow’s style ranges from old school rap to future R’n’B. Ebow first came into the public spotlight by doing guerilla performances in Munich’s Bahnhofsviertel, e.g. in laundromats, supermarkets or cable cars. After the first reactions of the media, she started performing at more conventional venues as well.

Bad&Boujee is the first all black female DJ & MC collective in Austria. It has been formed to support and celebrate Women of Colour with different backstories. The two Viennese women Elisabeth Taruvinga & Enyonam Tetteh-Klu make up the corner stone and together with their resident DJs Tonica Hunter & Tmnit Ghide they’d like to display a sign of shared support and throw parties where everyone can feel safe and let go, no matter their skin colour, gender or sexuality.
