International Film Competition 2021

Over 2000 films from all over the world have reached us this year. The international short film competition is the most important component of the YOUKI recipe and creates attention for the work of young filmmakers up to the age of 27. The carefully curated selection of the 23rd festival edition includes 63 films in the age categories 13 -17 years, 18 - 22 years and 23 - 27 years. The films will be shown in ten competition programmes. At the award ceremony during the gala, all the films awarded by the five-member jury will be announced. The winners receive the coveted and unique YOUKI trophies.

In addition to the competition programme, YOUKI has developed two further film programs. In “The Team Killed my Darlings” you can see the favourite films of individual team members who did not make it into the competition program in the joint selection process. The “LOST” & “FOUND” films on Saturday show a cross-section of the program and offer weekend guests and everyone who can't get enough, another opportunity to go to the cinema.
